Sacred Worship

Sacred Worship

Our Sacred Worship Committee assists the Parish Pastoral Council in fostering, first and foremost, the liturgical life of the parish as celebrated in the sacraments and other rites of the church with special attention to the sick and isolated in the parish. Also of concern are the devotional aspects of the parish's life of prayer.

Ministries include: Lectors, ushers, Master of Ceremonies, servers, Eucharistic ministers, gift bearers, and sacristan, along with general church care and perpetual adoration in the adoration chapel.

Contact Mary Ellen Haupert (mehaupert@viterbo.edu) for more information on how you can help with these ministries.

Music Ministry

Choir: The BSP/RNP Liturgical Choir is open to anyone who can carry a tune, enjoys singing in a choir, and is committed to liturgical music. The LITURGICAL CHOIR meets at 5:00-6:00 PM on Wednesdays during the school year! If you are unable to attend choir rehearsal, you are welcome to come 45 minutes before the 9:00 AM Mass at BSP or the 11:15 AM Mass at RNP. Contact Mary Ellen Haupert to sign up.

Cantors: Our talented volunteer cantors help lead us in prayer and song. They are a generous and dedicated group of musicians who lead the assembly in singing at Mass. To volunteer and receive training, contact Mary Ellen Haupert.

Instrumentalists: Anyone who plays an instrument and wishes to help enhance our liturgies should contact Pauline Connell.

St. Cecilia Funeral Choir: Our parish's St. Cecilia Choir performs a valuable service to parish families by singing at funeral liturgies and occasionally at Sunday Masses. Visitors to Blessed Sacrament are impressed and laudatory of this choir. This choir is perfect for people who enjoy singing but cannot meet the demand of regular practices or performance schedules.
